Luni, 15 martie, au fost anunțate nominalizările la Premiile Oscar 2021. România a reușit o performanță unică in istoria sa, fiind dublu nominalizată atât în categoria Cel mai bun Film Străin, cât și la Cel mai Bun Documentar, cu Colectiv, in regia lui Alexander Nanau. Aceasta este prima producție românească din istorie ce intră în competiție la Oscaruri. Cea mai așteptată ceremonie din industria cinematografică va avea loc în acest an pe 25 aprilie. Cea de-a 93-a ediție a Premiilor Oscar va fi organizată la Dolby Theatre, dar și in alte locații celebre, în condiții stricte, din cauza pandemiei de coronavirus.
