Duminică noapte a avut loc cea de-a 78-a ediție a Globurilor de Aur. Ceremonia Globurilor de Aur din 2021 a fost atipică, din cauza pandemiei și s-a desfășurat fără public. Nomadland, regizat de Chloe Zhao, a fost desemnat cea mai bună dramă, iar Sacha Baron Cohen a triumfat cu Borat 2. Chloe Zhao a scris istorie, fiind recompensata pentru cea mai buna regie, fiind a doua femeie regizor din istorie ce a primit Globul de Aur in aceasta categorie. Filmul „Nomadland” prezintă povestea unei femei, interpretată de Frances McDormand, care devine un fel de nomad al zilelor noastre, transformându-şi camioneta într-o locuinţă mobilă şi călătorind alături de alţi compatrioţi într-o caravană ce străbate vestul american, după colapsul economic al unui orăşel din Nevada.
Globul de Aur pentru cel mai bun actor i-a fost acordat post mortem lui Chadwick Boseman pentru rolul din Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. La categoria televiziune, familia regală britanică a cucerit America la toate mariile categorii cu serialul The Crown, printre care și cel mai bun serial tv de dramă. Personal, mă așteptam ca Another Round să câștige categoria cel mai bun film străin, însă trofeul a fost câștigat de drama Minari. Mai jos, regăsiti lista completă a câștigătorilor.
